S.H.A.R.E. (self-help and resource exchange) began in 1983, here in Southern California, and quickly moved across the United States. S.H.A.R.E., is dedicated to providing a monthly basic, consistent, affordable supplemental food package to those willing to help themselves and others.

SHARE is simple: For two hours of volunteer service, anyone is eligible to stretch their food dollars and purchase a good nutritious food package.		 Join Us!

  • SHARE is NOT a government program or charity, but instead promotes volunteerism

  • SHARE is NOT a commodity

  • SHARE has no income requirements

  • SHARE is NOT a handout

  • SHARE is non-denominational

  • SHARE does not receive any government funding, but it supported only through monthly program participant funds.

The fundamental essence of SHARE is its commitment to our spiritual life. It is based on acceptance and the belief that all people have something valuable to contribute.
SHARE not only rewards service-oriented citizens with the opportunity to stretch their ever-shrinking food dollars, but also aids community organizations by providing incentive for people to volunteer their time and talents. In these budget belt-tightening times, the extra hands SHARE volunteers provide go a long way to help community organizations meet their bottom line.
Income levels are not a consideration for eligibility to participate.
SHARE is a whole community that works together.
SHARE is a unique opportunity to make a difference.
SHARE is designed to utilize all that people have to offer; their time, talents, and services. This forms a partnership that connects individuals to the community and provides a network for everyone to help him or herself and lead a fuller life.
