How to Join SHARE

All you have to do is place an order by our monthly deadline! There are three basic ways to place an order - see below for instructions. Everyone is welcome- there are no eligibilty guidelines, income limits or membership fees.

You must pick up the food at your local SHARE site at the correct time on this month's SHARE food distribution. This is usually a Saturday, but some sites hold pick-up the Friday before. If you order online, you'll see the exact pick-up time on "our menu" and on your order receipt. Otherwise ask your local volunteer run Host Site or the Golden SHARE main office.

1) Paying with a credit or debit card? Click here to order online! It is the easiest, fastest and secure way to save big on food with SHARE! You can also call us toll-free at 866-570-5099 to order via phone with Visa, MasterCard.

2) Paying with Cash, Check or Money Order? The best way to order is through your local volunteer run Host Site or the Golden SHARE main office.  Follow these steps, clicking on the underlined links as you go to find the information you need:

         a) Download and print out the latest paper order form. Write your contact info at the top. Make sure to write in the "Host Site" you would like to pick-up your food from. Select your food- order as much as you like. If you cannot print the form, call your local Host Site, or the Golden SHARE main office. Please note: Not all Host Sites accept mail-in orders, we suggest mailing your order in to the Golden SHARE main office.

         b) Click here to find the distribution or Host Site nearest you.The sites are broken down by region of San Diego County and by other counties that we service. You can also find the contact information and food pick-up times for each Host Site here.

         c) Total everything up at the bottom of the form- please double-check your math.

         d) Call your local volunteer run Host Site to find out how best to submit your order with payment. Some sites have cerain dates to order with and some sites have a drop box. Since not all Host Sites accept mail-in orders we suggest if you plan on mailing an order in that you do so to the Golden SHARE main office.

3) Can't get in touch with your local volunteer run Host Site? Call SHARE 's main office tolle-free at 866-570-5099. We can process any order and assign it to a Host Site closest to your residence. We do not accept orders via email or fax.

4) Pick-Up your order on the designated food distribtution day and time. If you cannot make it to pick-up your order, please contact your Host Site or the SHARE main office right away. We may be able to make another pick-up arrangement for you if notified in ample time. Otherwise your package may be subject to donation.
